I am quite certain that this picture is taken during a national day parade on the ninth of august which is the nation’s birthday. We can infer from the fact that the people of all ages who are sitting down, are mostly attired in red shirts, which is strongly advised for those who will be witnessing the whole parade as spectators and celebrating the nation’s birthday together. In addition, most of the spectators and all the motivators who I believe should be the ones dressed up in yellow jerseys are holding the Singapore’s flag upright, showing their respect to the nation. The spectators and motivators are the two main groups of people in the picture. The tiny logo printed on the motivator’s jersey is evidence that the national day parade is taking place. Also, the bags that are placed in front of the spectators are of the same kind, thus I believe that those are the goodie bags which are given to the spectators every year without fail for attending the national day parade. I believe that the venue of the national day parade is at the National Stadium for a simple reason that most national day parades are held there and a synthetic track can be observed, which indicates that the people are definitely in a stadium. I speculate that the parade have yet to start since majority of the spectators appears to be feeling gloomy and does not seem to be captivated by anything. Moreover, the motivators who are stationed throughout the whole stadium looks as though they are trying to lift up their spirits.
In my perspective, I think that the motivator with a watch on his wrist and holding the flag upright at the right hand side of the picture must be feeling a little stressed up since he have to ensure that he does his job well of motivating the spectators. This is because it is not an easy task to help put a smile on the peoples’ faces and to interest them. He might be blamed if he fails to fulfill his task of doing so and therefore, being worried is inevitable. The expression on his face shows that he is rather crestfallen and seems to be in dismay. This might probably be due to the disappointing response of the eminent amount of spectators, which would cause him to feel that the spectators do not appreciate his hard work and thus, this calls for why he seems so miserable. I believe that he is feeling rather uptight and uneasy too since there are so many pairs of eyes staring at him all the time, which means that he have to be always in his best behaviour because his every movement would be watched.
The few people sitting at the first row in the left foreground of the picture looks as though they are proud to be Singaporeans. This can be observed from the fact that they are holding the Singapore flag upright. If they loathe Singapore, they would not even bother to hold on to the Singapore flag. Thus, I can conclude that they are patriotic and that they are sincere about celebrating the nation’s birthday together. I believe that they must be appreciating what the motivators are doing and following their instructions because they are looking intently at their actions. I am also quite certain that they are feeling rather excited because the parade seems like it is going to commence in a matter of minutes.
I suppose that the three army cadets at the left middle ground of the picture are stationed there to usher the spectators to their respective seats. I believe that they must be feeling fatigue since they are so many spectators to attend to. Also, I think that the job of the police officer standing at attention at the centre middle ground of the picture is to ensure that the parade runs smoothly without any disruptions from the spectators. I believe that he is hoping that no such cases would happen as maintaining the order of the spectators would be quite a simple task if no one decides to mess around in the stadium.
After this picture is taken, I believe that the parade would commence whereby the different uniform groups would start marching and going into formations. After which, it would be the arrival of the president, singing of the national anthem and national day songs. The spectators would then be entertained by several performances and the long anticipated firework display. After the parade has come to an end, traffic jams would definitely pose a problem and so I seriously would not recommend the spectators to travel by their own private transportations to prevent congestion of the road.
This picture shows an eminent amount of Singaporeans who are fortunate enough and are given the opportunity to obtain an entry pass to watch the whole parade live at the National Stadium. In my perspective, those who are watching the parade, be it on the television or at the stadium are patriotic to Singapore because this indicates that the fellow Singaporeans do care and wishes to celebrate Singapore’s birthday together. They would rather spend their free day celebrating the nation’s birthday than to engage in other constructive activities. Such an event is also a great opportunity to encourage family bonding because when a whole family watches the parade together, there would definitely be a lot of topics to discuss about, thus it would improve on family bonding through several conversations and interactions such as the singing of the national day songs as well as the well-known cheer, the ‘‘Kallang wave’’. Last but not least, the annual national day would also help to build up Singapore spirit and allow the Singaporeans to unite as a nation. Therefore, I believe that the national day parade is the top choice to show your love towards Singapore and your family.

The discussion is thorough and detailed, with appropriate vocabulary used. Do know the difference between "in my opinion" and "from my perspective".
