Picture Discussion

From the thick black smoke and the raging fire in the background, it is obvious that this particular city in on fire and the fire fighters are trying their very best to keep this raging inferno
under control and help the victims in this terrible tragedy. From the picture, we can also see that much of the trees have fallen and that the entire city is covered with thick smoke, making it impossible to see the buildings in the city.

The three fire fighters in the foreground are all well equipped with things necessary to save the people. They all wearing helmets with the traditional fireman's uniform. Also, they are all looking in the same direction with their hands on their hips. They are probably anxious and concerned for the people still trapped in the fire. They could also be very exhausted, and have been saving lives for a few hours, and yet, the fire has still not been under control. Other than feeling exhausted, they might also be feeling disappointed with themselves for not being able to save the people who are still trapped in the raging inferno.

However, the firefighters might not be that disappointed after all with the arrival of a helicopter that help control the fire. Together with the hard work they have put in, coupled with the help of a helicopter, I am certain that this raging fire will finally be put out and many people will be saved from this tragedy. The outside help has given the firefighters new hope and that the lives of people can be saved. Therefore, the firefighters will definitely not feel depressed and this might even motivate them to work even harder, and save more lives. I am also certain that the pilot of the helicopter must also be very proud of himself for doing such a good job. The victims would definitely be very grateful to the firefighters, the pilot, as well as those who helped them in the fire.

After much effort, I think that the fire will definitely be put out. However, many of the buildings are destroyed, living many survivors homeless. But still, I am sure that the survivors would still be grateful to those who helped them and might still be relieved and thankful that they are still alive even though they have lost everything. I am also sure that more help will be given to the victims and volunteers would come in from all around the country to help these people. Investigations might also be conducted to find out as to how the fire started. However, the main priority is to find help for the people.

This picture was probably taken by a photographer working for a certain company. This picture was probably found in the front page of the town's newspaper and on the news, showing the destruction caused by the raging inferno.

A fluent effort, with detailed descriptions of the firefighters and the emotions they experienced. Only the last paragraph is unsatisfactory; you could have tackled the theme of bravery or safety rather than a overly-general observation.
